Algeria

Project type: 150-MWe solar-combined-cycle hybrid plant, 20 MWe from a thermal oil-based parabolic trough collector field.

Location: Hassi-R?mel.

Abengoa and NEAL, New Energy Algeria, will operate this hybrid station for a 25-year period, purchasing all power produced by Algerian state-owned Sonatrach.

We are participating in the construction of the world?s first hybrid solar power plant, with a combined cycle and 150 MW of power output capacity, 20 MW of which will come from the thermal oil- based parabolic trough collector field with 180 000 m2 of reflective surface area. (1.94 million square ft).
