Concentrated Solar Power plants. Main Projects

Solúcar Platform (300MW)

Location: Sanlúcar la Mayor, Seville.

Type of Project: The Solucar Platform has 300 MW of installed capacity: 50 MW are from solar tower technology, 250 MW are obtained from solar trough technology.

PS10 (11 MW)

Location: PS10 is part of the Solucar Platform, located in Sanlúcar la Mayor, Seville.

Type of Project: PS10 is the world’s first commercial solar tower plant.

PS20 (20 MW)

Location: PS20 is part of the Solucar Platform, located in Sanlúcar la Mayor, Seville.

Type of Project: PS20 will be the world’s second commercial solar tower plant.

Solnova 1 and 3 (50 MW)

Location: Solnova I and III are part of the Solucar Platform, located in Sanlúcar la Mayor, Seville.

Type of Project: Solnova I and III are the first of five commercial solar trough plants to be installed at the Solucar Platform.

Ecija 1 and 2 (2x50 MW)

Location: Écija

Type of Project: Ecija I and II are two new trough plants that will be 50 MW each and which contain storage.

Copero PV (800KW)

Location: Dos hermanas (Sevilla).

Type of Project: Copero is an 800 kW system comprised of conventionalPV modules mounted on 2-axles trackers.

Sevilla PV (1,2 MW):

Location: Sanlúcar la Mayor (Sevilla).

Type of Project: Sevilla PV is a low-concentration PV plant.At 1.2 MW, it is the largest low-concentration PV installation in the world.It has 154, 2-axles tracking units that are 100m2 (1076 ft2) each.It supplies 2.4 GWh to the grid per year.This low concentration system is approximately 20% cheaper than a non-concentrating system.
