Solúcar Solar changes its name to Abengoa Solar

As a consequence of the recent internationalization of the Solar Business Unit we have changed the company's name to Abengoa Solar in order to build upon the international image and presence of Abengoa.

The holding company of the Solar Business Unit has changed its name to Abengoa Solar. This company incorporates the corporate departments, international development department, and the manufacturing division.

The change has affected the Business Unit's holding company and its subsidiaries:

• Solúcar Energía is now called Abengoa Solar España, and its functions are to promote, construct and operate thermoelectric power plants in Spain.
• Solúcar PV is now called Abengoa Solar PV, a company focused on promoting, constructing and operating solar photovoltaic power plants.
• Solúcar R&D has changed its name to Abengoa Solar New Technologies, and is dedicated to designing, researching and developing new thermal as well as photovoltaic technologies.
• Solúcar Inc. is now Abengoa Solar Inc., the company responsible for developing the Solar Business in the U.S.

The new organization chart has been updated in the Solar Business portal.
