Abengoa Solar has a very active presence in the United States.At the end of 2007, total employment is approaching 30 and is increasing rapidly in response to growing markets in the US.The company has attracted some of the most experienced and well-respected professionals in the solar industry, including former managers, engineers and financial personnel from the California solar electric generating plants, personnel from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, only a few miles from our US headquarters in Lakewood, CO, as well as engineers formerly with Industrial Solar Technology (now Abengoa Solar IST).

Abengoa Solar Power

Abengoa Solar Power is a division of Abengoa Solar in the US. It primarily functions to promote and install CSP plants, often including thermal storage. The current focus in on the use of trough technology, but towers could be deployed in the future. The addition of storage to solar CSP systems allows them to deliver electricity in response to customer needs. Integrating CSP technology with combined cycle plants is another means of delivering firm power.
