Electric Plants

Abengoa Solar has the knowledge and experience in working with CSP technologies (i.e. tower, trough and dish Stirling), solar heat, and photovolatiacs, both concentrating and non-concentrating to bring these technologies into the marketplace.

Customized Industrial and Commercial Applications

In addition to large-scale electric generation plants, Abengoa Solar also offers systems that can be customized for industrial and commercial use.

Solar thermal technologies can be used in industrial and commercial applications to provide process heat and space cooling.

PV technologies can be used in industrial and commercial applications to provide electricity. Most often these systems are installed on roofs of clients buildings.

Research and development of solar technology

Abengoa Solar plants and installations are the culmination of 20 years of heavy investments in R&D. This R&D drives technical innovations in cost reduction and improved plant performance. This knowledge is the basis for Abengoa Solar's growth derived from involvement in new projects.

Abengoa Solar NT conducts research for Abengoa Solar in Spain. Abengoa Solar's US operations also has a large R&D component. The integration of these research efforts is a catalyst for new ideas and innovation.
